Amy Anderson

Congratulations to Amy Anderson,
Amy will represent South Australia in the Australian National Primary School Championships held in Geelong
Well done to all The Junior Lakers who braved the challenging conditions to compete.
Archer Charles, Ethan Ashley and Khye Maddern who also played well and enjoyed the experience.
Good work by Peter Josevski a new junior member to play in the qualifiers and be a reserve for the event.

Hi All Brian here. Yes Amy made the State Squad she shot 89 around the main course.
Archie Charles shot a 92 which placed him in the top 8 but I think he’s a few months too old to be eligible for the State Team this year.
They were the only 2 to qualify for the State section final.
Ethan Ashley finished second or 3rd in the B or plate section on Friday played on the Executive course.

All went well, Allan Telford has just passed on GolfSA’s thanks to WLGC and all concerned  for running the event.

West Lakes G.C. had  6 players qualifying in the top 10 to go through to the next stage, the State finals at Adelaide Shores. (with Peter Josevski 1st alternate / reserve and likely to get invited.) This is our best result from the events held so far.
So we are developing  greater depth  in the younger playing stocks of our WLGC Junior Program.
The scores were headed by Amy Anderson with an impressive score of 37 over 9 holes from the 150 metre markers.
Followed by Archer Charles with 41. Archie  is hoping to retain his place in the State Primary School team from 2017.

Although not WLGC member it’s interesting and encouraging to note Brothers Noah and Isaac Ah-Chee also qualified to participate in the State finals.
Noah and Isaac were regular participants in our West Lakes Aboriginal Academy training which was held in the lead up last years 2017 National Primary School Championships.
