The A2 Pennant Team lost in The Final 4 to 3 at the Grange Golf Club to the Mid North Team who were undefeated all season!!
On a beautifully prepared course in cold but good golfing weather The Team played with gusto, showing us the reason they made the final with some excellent golf from the boys.
Unfortunately the Mid North side were too strong on the day.
The Men’s A2 pennant Final will be against The Mid North team at 10.00am off the 10th Tee at the Grange Golf Club (East) Course
We know we have their measure, the forecast is great so with the Golfing Gods on our side The Lakers will have a crack at the A2 Pennant this Sunday.
THANK YOU to all The Managers, Volunteers, Players and their families for giving their time and effort into representing our Club this year.

Week 6 – A2 Men played Stirling at Flagstaff Hill – West Lakes winning 4 1/2 to 2 1/2
Once again a glorious sunny day in the middle of winter. Conditions good. Course good.
Most got off to a reasonable start but doom and gloom soon followed. For most of the day we were behind 4/3. At the half way mark we were trailing in 4 of the matches. The second 9 holes brought out the fighting spirit and a resurgence happened. Well done to Andrew Footner and Miles Kirk for their fight in the final stages. Well done all
Thanks also to Patrick for his work in preparing the fairway and greens layouts. Chris Magor (Manager)
B2 Men played Mt Osmond at Westward Ho – West Lakes losing 4 1/2 to 2 1/2
With a final place on the line our A2’s secured a comfortable result over The Stirling. Currently sitting in 2nd place, we face top of the table and undefeated Mid North this week at home with a win securing a place in the final.
Our B2’s fought hard to go down to a strong Mt Osmond at Westward Ho and the result could have easily gone in our favour with a couple of matches being decided on the 18th.
With a finals place on the line I would like to invite all West Lakes members to come along and support our team this Sunday from behind the ropes.
